Paul Simon, “Down by the school yard” mural

Making its only West Coast stop at the Skirball, Paul Simon: Words & Music—a traveling exhibition organized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum—illustrates how the legendary artist’s music has reflected social and cultural ideals.

On view will be instruments, records, sheet music, handwritten lyrics, photography, costumes, and stage maquettes, as well as listening stations and performance footage spanning Simon’s six-decade career.

We feel honored to have installed this “Down by the school yard” mural created by The Mural Co.

It is a stunning 8′ x 20′ graffiti wall that had to be made in five sections in order to be transported.

We assembled the wall with hidden fasteners and other tricks of our trade at the Skirball Cultural Center. This is currently on display for the Paul Simon exhibition from April 27-September 3, 2017.
